New palace of Erdogan cost Turkey $615 mln
Almaty. November 6. KazTAG - The cost of Ak Saray palace belonging to Turkish President Recep Tayiip Erdogan makes $615 mln, reports the Time.
"The Presidential palace of Recep Tayiip Erdogan which is 30 times larger that the White House and 4 times larger that Versailles cost Turkey $615 mln," reports the publication with a reference to Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Shimshek.
The publication indicated the court several times attempted to stop the building construction.
"For many years ex prime minister of Turkey has been accused of spending budget money on construction of extravagant building of 1000 rooms known as the White Palace. Several judicial orders failed to stop the construction whose area makes 3.1 mln square feet (28.8 hectares-KazTAG)," reads the publication.
