New session within Astana process on Syria conflict settlement scheduled in Nur-Sultan
Astana. April 17. KazTAG - A new session has been scheduled in Nur-Sultan for the Astana process on Syrian conflict settlement, reports the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan.
"The XII international meeting of high level on Syria will be held in Nur-Sultan on April 25-26 2019. On the analogue with the previous rounds of negotiations the session will involve the delegates of the guarantor-states - Iran, Russia and Turkey, Government and opposition of the armed forces of Syria, UN and Jorden- as observers," reads the message.
The new session will cover the hottest issues including the situation "on ground" including in the province of Idlib and in the north-east of Syria, measures for further strengthening of trust between the conflicting sides. It is expected that the parties will discuss support of refugees, internal traffic of people, humanitarian situation and post-conflict restoration of the state.
