"The way to the airport has been opened on the part of reconstructed motorway "South-Western detour of Astana city". The new road part 1100 m in length has been constructed under 1st category with four lanes. Other four lanes will be opened in September this year," reads the report.
High strength gravel-mastic asphalt was used in the construction.
“The implementation of the South-West Detour of Astana project with a total length of 34.4 km will reduce the load on the capital's transport system and the journey time, the project will also contribute to improving the environmental situation in Nur-Sultan,” reads the report.
