No early elections in Kazakhstan - Nazarbayev
Astana. February 6. KazTAG - Early elections won't be held in Kazakhstan, said Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan.
"It's not worth creating agiotage around this issue. The Constitution of the state, the Constitutional law "On President of the Republic of Kazakhstan clearly spell out the order and time of election, the terms of authority termination. According to the Constitution, a President has the right for early election, however, it is not planned. We should keep calm and keep working," he said in his message spread by the press-service of the President.
N. Nazarbayev commenting his application to the Constitutional Council concerning explanation of point 3, article 42 of the Constitution, he said "it is a routine case".
"It is an absolutely routine questions (...) the Constitution does not spell out the conditions for replacement of the President, it does not provide regulations in case of his voluntarily resignation. Such norms exist in all the Constitutions of the world. Due to acuteness of these aspects I asked the Constitutional Council to explain these regulations," he added.
