No uniform currency in Eurasian Economic Union - Sagintayev

Astana. April 9. KazTAG - There is no plan to introduce uniform currency in the Eurasian Economic Union, national currencies will remain, said Bakytzhan Sagintayev, First Vice Prime Minister.

"I don't know where these talks are coming from, we did not discuss creation of uniform economic currency (in EEU-KazTAG) and there is no this issue in the draft agreement," he said.

He added the national currency of Kazakhstan will not be replaced in the future.

"We won't have any uniform currency. We will have tenge," he said.
