Nogayev did not voice Kazakhstan's position on OPEC + before negotiations

Astana. November 25. KazTAG -  Nurlan Nogayev , Minister of Energy, said that voicing Kazakhstan's position on the deal to reduce oil production (OPEC +) before negotiations is inappropriate.
“Today I cannot voice (the position of Kazakhstan - KazTAG), you can hear it on December 1. I think announcing it in advance is inappropriate, ”Nogayev said at a briefing.
Answering the question about which strategy Kazakhstan will choose within the framework of OPEC +, he said that  all possible risks of further development of the oil and gas industry had already been discussed.
“It was decided that at the expanded OPEC + meeting scheduled for December 1 or 2, the issue of further extension or keeping (production - KazTAG) at the same level will be discussed, or rather to comply with the agreements that were reached at the beginning of this year - 14% agreement from January 1, 2021 to April 2022," he added.
Commenting on participation of Kazakhstan in the OPEC + agreement in 2021, Nogayev said that "this decision will be made in early December."
