Number of accidents decreased due to recording average speed on Kazakhstan's highways

Astana. April 29. KazTAG - After the launch of the average speed recording system on national highways, the number of accidents has decreased by 8%, and the number of victims - by 29%, reports the press service of JSC NC KazAvtoZhol.
"According to the analysis for the period from March 17 to April 24, 2025, the number of road accidents in areas with installed cameras decreased by 8% compared to the same period last year. In addition, the number of victims decreased by 29%, which indicates an increase in road safety,” said the report.
Since March 17, 2025, cameras began recording the average speed on straight sections of international and national roads.
