Number of cyber-attacks on Kazakhstan increased by dozens times

Astana. April 12. KazTAG - The number of cyber-attacks on Kazakhstan has increased by dozen times, said Ruslan Abdikalikov, deputy chairman of the committee for information security of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan.
"Cyber attacks are fixed every second and their number is growing. We fixed 1 billion of such attacks in 2016. There were 20 bn attacks on Kazakhstan last year, on the state information structures. Nobody knows how many attacks business faces. The attacks on the Government increased by 20 times over the past year," he said at the conference SOC-FORUM.
In his words, none of the cyber-attacks has been realized.
"The number of attacks is growing, they come from all over the world, but we protect ourselves from them. We did not admit loss of our data," he said.
