Number of Ebola victims reached 8220 people in Western Africa
Almaty. January 8. KazTAG - 8220 people have been affected by the Ebola virus in Western Africa, reports the TASS news agency.
"The number of the Ebola victims has reached 8220 people, 20 712 have been contaminated, reports the World Health Organization," reads the message.
All the cases were registered in three states of Western Africa- Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra-Leone.
"3496 people died in Liberia and 8157 were contaminated. 2943 people died in Sierra Leone and 9780 caught the virus. 1781 people died and 2775 contaminated in Guinea," the message reports.
According to the WHO the number of victims has increased by 56 people, 67 caught the virus in these states since January 5.
