Officials found guilty in Bek Air crash

Taldykorgan. May 13. KazTAG – Officials have been sentenced for selling land plots near the Almaty airport, where a Bek Air plane crashed.
The Talgar District Court of the Almaty Region sentenced the former head of the Talgar District Land Relations Department, Rustam Turysbekov, to four years and 215 days of imprisonment in a minimum security institution. In addition, he was deprived of the right to hold positions in the civil service and in local self-government bodies for seven years.
Former head of the department of land relations of the Talgar region, Kairat Altynbekuly, was sentenced to three years in prison in a minimum security institution. He has been deprived of the right to hold positions in the civil service and in local self-government bodies for a period of six years.
Both of them were taken into custody in the courtroom.
Former Acting Head of the Talgar District Branch of "Research and Production Center of the Land Cadastre" Medeu Kalybekov, the ex-head of the Talgar District Department of "Research and Production Center of the Land Cadastre" Berik Abdullayev were sentenced to three years of restriction of freedom.
