Oil production may fall down at Kazakhstani fields- expert
Astana. January 22. KazTAG - Oil production may fall down at Kazakhstani fields under the current oil prices, said Vyacheslov Dodonov, chief scientific employee of Kazakhstani institute of strategic research.
"I think that production volume will fall down at some low profitable fields. It may happen under the current oil price," he said.
In his words, the statement of Eni head Claudio Descanzi, concerning 10-13% reduction of investments in the oil industry due to prices collapse reflects the real situation, "because currently many companies and fields have fallen below the break even point".
"Especially for the companies which work at new and alternative oil production fields," he said.
In his words, Kazakhstan produced about 80 mln tons in 2014, the share of exported products made up 82%.
