Almaty. July 25. KazTAG - Ex head of service of special prosecutors of the General Prosecutor's Office Olesya Keksel was claiming a suspect on the criminal case of Gulnara Musabayeva to testify against Imangali Tasmagambetov, said Zhan Kunserkin, lawyer.
"Our defendant initially did not cooperate with investigation. She was claimed to testify against a number of officials. Olesya Keksel, head of service of special prosecutors under the General Prosecutor's Office claimed to testify against Tasmagambetov and Subkhanberdin, she claimed to say that allegedly they were getting kickbacks. She did not know these people and refused to testify. The head of the service of special prosecutors of the General Prosecutor's Office came in non-procedural contacts with our defendant. Keksel was not a head of investigatory group, its member, but she directly called her to plead guilty and testify against Tasmagambetov," he said.
In his words, Keksel threatened to attract the children, close relatives of Gulnara Musabayeva to criminal responsibility and to confiscate their property which was subsequently confiscated.
"The head of investigation group brought Keksel to the meeting. He knew all these proposals and was repeating them until April. In May Keksel resigned from the prosecutor's office. Keksel had a direct interest in the outcome of the case," said the lawyer.
He said the defense would like Keksel to give comments on these facts.
"We would like Keksel to give comments on this case. According to some information she is in Germany, other sources say she is in Astana," he added.
