One citizen of China requesting asylum had been detained for cattle theft - director of border service NSC Darkhan Dilmanov

Astana. October 16. KazTAG - One citizen of China requesting an asylum had been detained for cattle theft, said Darkhan Dilmanov, deputy chairman of NSC, director of border service NSC.
"They are trespassers. There is an article on trespassing. It provides for appropriate criminal responsibility. We must understand it. We will make appropriate requests and get appropriate replies. I can say only one thing - one of them named Kaster (Musakan-KazTAG)  trespassed the border in 2006.  He was detained for cattle theft in the area of Kazakhstani-Chinese border. He was detained on our territory and transferred to the frontier guards of China," he said.
Answering the question about criminal responsibility for trespassing, he said "the term is not long".
"I cannot say exactly- half a year or a year," he said.
He added the trespassers "are at freedom now".
"Now they are in Zaisan. We did not arrest and did not detain them. Now we are investigating where they crossed the border. They said it was Tarbagatay. At the site they will have to show where it happened and if it happened," he resumed.
Bauyrzhan Azanov, Kazakhstani lawyer wrote in the social networks that two citizens of China Muraget Alimuly and Kaster Musakan said how they crossed the border of China and Kazakhstan and then surrendered to the authorities of Kazakhstan and asked for a political asylum.
