One citizen of Tajikistan died, over 20 injured in conflict at Tajikistan-Kyrgyzstan border
Almaty. March 14. KazTAG - One citizen of Tajikistan has died, over 20 have been injured in the conflict at the border of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, reports the Tajikistan Telegraph Agency (TajikTA).
"One person has died, over 20 have been injured in the conflict at the Tajikistan-Kyrgyzstan border. The victim is Hussein Khakimov, 43 years old inhabitant of Ispharinskiy district of Tajikistan," reads the message.
The man died of a ballistic wound which came from the Kyrgyz side. Three other inhabitants of the same region have been injured.
People had been throwing stoned in each other in the conflict which arose in the time of construction of a motorway by the Kyrgyz authorities on the disputable territory. The inhabitants of Todzhikon village claimed to stop the road construction until the border demarcation between the states.
