"The functional analysis and organizational and staff measures (to optimize defense expenses - KazTAG) will save 10 billion tenge this year," Akorda refers to Yermekbayev's statement at the meeting with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan.
He informed the President about the work on construction and development of the armed forces.
The Minister also informed the head of state about the plans to equip the army with modern weapons, repair and modernization of military equipment, as well as on the implementation of the draft electronic military registration and enlistment office.
“The parties focused on liquidation of the consequences of the emergency in Arys and improvement of the ammunition storage infrastructure. The head of state has instructed the Minister to strengthen international military-technical cooperation, equip the army with effective and competitive weapons, improve the quality of military education and the process of military training, and to prepare for a military parade, ” reads the message.
