Out of 150 toys every sixth poses threat to children’s health in northern Kazakhstan
Almaty. November 19. KazTAG – The sanitary-epidemiological laboratory of North-Kazakhstan oblast released shocking information after it had researched samples of 150 toys produced in China, saying that every sixth of them does not meet the Customs Union standards, informs zakon.kz.
Concentration of phenol in some toys exceeds its allowed norm from 3.9 to 15 times. If a child breathes vapors of phenol or puts it into mouth, it may get poisoned.
There were also soldier-toys with high concentration of methanol and acetone.
According to Erna Firsova, chief of sanitary-epidemiological laboratory, the safest toys are soft.
