“According to the operational data of JSC KTZ, 6.7 million tons of grain were transported in September - 16 days of February 2024/2025, including 1.4 million tons inside the country and 5.3 million tons for export. The growth in export volumes amounted to 48.3%,” reads the report.
2 million tons were exported to Uzbekistan, which was 34.9% more than the same period in 2023/2024, Tajikistan - 789 thousand tons (47% growth), China - 679 thousand tons, Afghanistan - 235 thousand tons (37% growth). According to the data, supplies to Iran increased 20 times or 644 thousand tons, to Azerbaijan - 79 times or 319 thousand tons.
By the end of 2024, 10.6 million tons of grain were transported, including 2.5 million tons within the country and 8.1 million tons for export.
"In addition, according to KTZ, by the end of 2024, 3.2 million tons of flour were transported, including 817 thousand tons within Kazakhstan and 2.4 million tons for export with an increase of 3%. In January – 16 days of February, 352 thousand tons of flour were transported, including exports amounted to 238 thousand tons, an increase of 9.6%. The main countries importing flour are Central Asian countries, China, Afghanistan and others,” reads the report.
