Participants of protest action in Bishkek claim to declare moratorium on uranium production in Kyrgyzstan

Almaty. April 26. KazTAG - A protest action has been organized in front of the Parliament's building in Bishkek claiming to declare moratorium on uranium production throughout the state," reports the Kyrgyzstan Telegraph Agency (KyrTAG).
About three hundreds of people with posters have gathered at the building of the Parliament. The protesters claim to prevent uranium production at the field in the Issyk-Kul region and impose a moratorium on uranium production throughout the state.
As it was reported, by the order of prime minister of Kyrgyzstan the license has been recalled from UrAziya company in Kyrgyzstan, all the types of works have been suspended at Kyzyl-Ompol field. According to K. Boronov, vice prime minister of Kyrgyzstan, no development of the field has been initiated, techniques have been removed, while infrastructure objects have been sealed.
