Passenger biometrics are to be introduced at all airports in Kazakhstan – Ministry of Transport

Astana. April 22. KazTAG – Passenger biometrics are planned to be introduced at all airports in Kazakhstan, reports the press service of the Ministry of Transport.
“In order to optimize business processes in the field of air cargo transportation, the E-freight information system has been successfully implemented and is operating in Kazakhstan. All airlines and airports are connected to the platform. Through electronic registration and tracking of cargo, it was possible to significantly reduce time losses when organizing air cargo transportation. In the field of passenger transportation, it has become commonplace to use the services of purchasing electronic tickets, online booking and using digital documents. The next step in digitalization should be biometric identification of passengers when boarding a flight,” reads the message.
This will greatly simplify and speed up the process of boarding passengers at airports.
