Poltoranin refused to get in touch with Kazakh diplomats

Astana. March 4. KazTAG - Kazakh skier Alexey Poltoranin refused to get in touch with Kazakh diplomats.
"Poltoranin refused to get in touch. As we know he did not meet the consular," said Yerzhan Ashimbayev, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
He said Kazakhstan has no ground to mistrust Austrian law enforcement bodies.
"We have no ground for mistrust , there have been no denial  to the messages about confession by our and Austrian athletes. At the same time, combat with doping, open dialogue with athletes is our principle position. We are for transparent sport, for equal conditions for our athletes. Kazakhstan joined an appropriate UNESCO convention, all these standards are being practiced," he said adding that "still there have been facts of violations by athletes".
As it was reported, the law enforcement bodies of Austria and prosecutor's office of Germany conducted a joint operation against an international doping network within which they conducted seven searches at the location of several national teams at the ski sports championship in Seefeld and detained two athletes of the national team of Austria, one athlete of the national team of Kazakhstan and two athletes from Estonia.
