President Trump threatens to introduce duties on Chinese goods for another $300 billion
Almaty June 6. KazTAG - US President Donald Trump threatens to introduce duties on Chinese goods for at least another $300 billion, Reuters reports.
At the same time, it is noted that tensions between the United States and China have sharply increased since negotiations ended in early May aimed at ending a fierce trade war.
“There are many interesting things happening in our talks with China. Let's see what happens. I could increase the duties by at least another $300 billion, and I will do it at the right time”, - said Trump, without specifying which particular goods are being discussed.
Despite the fact that Trump said on Thursday that negotiations are continuing with China, no personal meetings have been held since May 10, when he sharply raised duties on Chinese goods to 25%, another $200 billion, which prompted Beijing to retaliate.
