“The leaders of the two countries discussed the prospects for the development of the Kazakh-Togolese partnership. Particular attention was paid to establishing political dialogue, deepening cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, energy, transport, logistics and cultural-humanitarian spheres, as well as interaction in the field of healthcare and the military industry,” the statement said.
The President of Kazakhstan noted the symbolism of this visit, which is taking place in Astana on the eve of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two friendly countries.
“Today’s negotiations mark a new era in our bilateral relations and provide an excellent opportunity to explore promising areas of our mutually beneficial cooperation. We are interested in strengthening ties with Togo and view your country as an important partner in Africa,” he said.
As the leader of Kazakhstan noted, despite the geographical distance, our countries have much in common, in particular, they are distinguished by their multi-confessional and multi-ethnic composition.
“More than 100 ethnic groups live in Kazakhstan. The development of interfaith and interreligious dialogue is one of the priority areas of our state policy,” he said.
