Primary reason for exit ban from Kazakhstan for volunteer of Italian federation for human rights is criminal case on involvement in DVK
Almaty. August 13. KazTAG - The exit ban from Kazakhstan for Daniyar Khasenov, volunteer of the Italian federation for human rights, was the criminal case on involvement in the Democratic choice of Kazakhstan (DVK) banned in the state.
"The NSC replied that the exit ban was imposed on May 3 2019. The Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan said there are no restrictions on executive legal proceedings. The MIA has not replied yet. The Prosecutor's Office of Almaty said in the official reply ( dated July 30 2019) that the criminal case was opened on May 4 "on the fact of organization, participation and active support of the banned movement Democratic Choice of Kazakhstan". In reality I have not been informed about the ban. The criminal code does not prescribe such measure while the prosecutor's office, police department of Almaty did not explain to which article of the criminal code the ban is referred ," he said at the press-conference.
Meanwhile, the MIA RK answered to the deputy's request that the ban was imposed due to active participation of Khasenov in the unsanctioned protest actions.
The volunteer said in the time of the protest actions he was staying at the police station where every time he was taken before the start of the meetings, thus he could not take part in them.
Khasenov believes the ban for his exit is connected with prevention of his participation in the European arrangements dedicated to the situation with human rights.
