"The bus N 456 en route Almaty-Shamalgan collided with a train en route Almaty-Kostanay on September 15 at 19.08, prior to the collision the bus driver ignored the restrictive signal of the traffic lights," reads the message.
"The engine driver took measures to emergency braking, but failed to avoid a collision," said the message.
"The bus driver died on the scene. Three passengers have been taken to hospital. Investigatory group of the police department arrived at the scene of the accident," reads the message.
There were 67 passengers on the bus.
