"We want to report about the situation in the correctional institution 155/14 in Zarechniy. Several statements of the convicts appeared on the internet saying about mass tortures on April 23-25. 12 convicts applied to me who were subjected to tortures, corporal injuries, three of them needed medical aid," she said.
She said after the tortures one convict attempted to commit a suicide.
She added that the convicts who wrote the statement have been pressurized, they were placed in a disciplinary detention center and transferred to strict conditions of detention, they are also transferred from the medical unit prematurely.
In addition, she said that she had managed to find out the names of all the employees of the institution who participated in the torture.
"We applied to the prosecutor general about torture, but we still don’t know what measures were taken, whether an investigator was appointed,” she said.
