Public union of Almaty declared failure of state policy for flights safety

Astana. January 29. KazTAG - The public union of Almaty has declared about the failure of the state policy for flights safety, reports Vremya.
"It started when the Ministry of Transport was liquidated in order to save the budget. It was a mistake, I think. There used to be two ministries for transport - for motorways and for transport, in addition, there was a civil aviation administration which worked independently. Now they are united into one committee which is not headed by an airman, but by a person with economic education. Mass media often report about scandals around the civil aviation committee.(...) How did it happen that all the planes have certificates? The aviation administration said that the parts of Bek Air planes were fixed with adhesive tape, oil was leaking, and there were bowls under the planes in order not to stain the runway. Where were you looking at when you were issuing the certificates? (...) It indicates the failure of state policy in flights security," said Boris Dzhaparov, member of the council.
He added that “material benefit dominates over the safety of people in Kazakhstan".
