Putin characterized first talks with new Kazakhstan's president

Almaty. April 4. KazTAG - President of Russia Vladimir Putin has characterized the first talks with president of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, reports TASS.
"The negotiations were held in constructive and business atmosphere, in compliance with the traditions that have developed over the years of our fruitful collaboration with the founder of Kazakhstan-  first president  Nursultan Nazarbayev, ” Putin told reporters after the negotiations.
He thanked Tokayev for the fact that he made his first official foreign visit to Russia.
Putin recalled that Tokayev, working in previous positions, "maintained close contacts with Russian colleagues."
“We have no doubt that as president of Kazakhstan, he will pay constant attention to further development of mutually beneficial cooperation and allied relations between our states,” said Putin.
Putin said that the presidents' statement, signed at the end of the current talks, "reflects a mutual desire to strengthen the comprehensive Russian-Kazakhstan strategic partnership, and set serious and responsible tasks for its further development."
“Russia and Kazakhstan have gained a great deal of interaction in various fields, the legal base includes over 450 interstate and intergovernmental documents,” said Putin.
