Putin declared truce in war with Ukraine during celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory

Astana. April 29. KazTAG - Russian President Vladimir Putin declared a truce in the war with Ukraine during the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory, reports the Kremlin press service.
"By decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, based on humanitarian considerations, on the days of the 80th anniversary of the Victory - from midnight on May 7-8 to midnight on May 10-11 - the Russian side declares a ceasefire. All military actions will cease during this period," said the statement.
Russia believes that the Ukrainian side should follow this example.
It is reported that in the event of a ceasefire violation by the Ukrainian side, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will give an adequate and effective response.
