Kostanay. October 1. KazTAG - Quarantine has been imposed in three more villages of the Kostanay region amid the outbreak of the bird flu, Kostanay news reports.
"Bird flu has been confirmed in the village of Rodina at the Arkalyk poultry farm of Agrointerptitsa LLP, according to the information of the President of the Association of Egg Producers of Kazakhstan, Maxim Bozhko, on Facebook, more than 500 thousand heads of chickens have died there. A special commission is working. There are checkpoints around the factory. Bird flu has been confirmed in private farmsteads of the nearby village of Furmanovo. Cases have also been reported in Tselinnoye, but the test results have not yet arrived, "said Samat Kaliev, head of the Kostanay region veterinary department.
In the near future, the village of Mikhailovka in the Karabalyk region will also be quarantined. More than 100 birds were killed in the area. The village is fenced with concrete slabs along the perimeter.
