"Press Freedom Road" created in Kabul

Almaty. April 25. KazTAG – “Press Freedom Road” has been crated in Kabul, reports the Afghanistan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG).

"The Ministry of Information and Culture named a street in Kabul"Press Freedom Road". It runs near the Khanzal mosque and Madina bazaar," the agency reports.

According to Sayed Makhdum Rakhin, Minister of Information and Culture, "the freedom of press was institutionalized in the country".

"Our news agencies worked effectively providing information during the elections," he said.

Journalists supported the initiative of the Ministry and insist on full investigation of violence cases against journalists.

Afghanistan still has no "Law on Information".
