Railway line Iran-Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan to be launched on December 3
Almaty. November 19. KazTAG - The official opening of transnational railway line "North-South" connecting Kazakhstan with Turkmenistan and Iran will take place on December 3 this year, reports the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG).
According to Mukhammad Garavi, chairman of the "Iranian railways" company the Presidents of Iran, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan will take part in the launch ceremony. According to the messages of local mass media, the local authorities spent about $52 mln for the project implementation on the Iranian territory.
The railway Gorgon-Incheborun-Turkmenistan 88 km in length will connect Iran through the Territory of Turkmenistan with Kazakhstan, Russia, CIS states and China.
It is a part of transnational corridor "North-South" which connects Northern Europe with South-Eastern Asia.
