Reduction of population share with low level of profit by 10 times is achievement in Kazakhstan- Nazarbayev
Astana. October 23. KazTAG - Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev met Sri Mulyani Indrawati, executive director and director on operational issues of the World Bank group.
"During the meeting the parties discussed strengthening of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the World Bank's groups, including in the context of new framed agreement on partnership signed in May 2014," reads the message.
The parties considered different economic challenges. Nazarbayev indicated that the World Bank is a strategic partner of Kazakhstan.
"According to estimation of your bank the share of population with revenues below the cost of living used to be 35%, now it makes less than 3%. We think it is a big achievement," said Nazarbayev.
Indrawati indicated the progress achieved by Kazakhstan in the field of regional and global integration and expressed hope that Kazakhstan will play a key role in the regional regulation of issues of use of water and energy resources.
