Regulation of Caspian Sea status is still strategically important for Kazakhstan - MFA
Astana. April 23. KazTAG - Regulation of the status of the Caspian Sea is a strategically important issue for Kazakhstan, said Yerlan Idrisov, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
"Regulation of the status of the Caspian Sea and creation of the legal regime of international political, economic and cultural cooperation is a strategically important issue for Kazakhstan in terms of provision of political stability, development of the Caspian region, preservation and increase of its natural riches and use of unique geographical location," he said at the conference of Foreign Ministers of the Caspian states.
He added the new infrastructural projects will boost development of the Caspian region.
"Only coordinated actions will let us integrate the resources of the coastal states into the world economy, while planned and implemented new infrastructural projects will boost development of existing opportunities of our states and the Caspian region," he said.
