Retirement age should be reduced to 60 years, regardless of gender - Majilis deputy
Astana. January 28. KazTAG - The retirement age should be reduced to 60 years, regardless of gender, said Alexander Milyutin, Majilis deputy from the People's Party of Kazakhstan.
“The main proposal is to revise the retirement age, which should be calculated based on the complexity of working conditions. The age threshold for retirement should be reduced to 60 years, regardless of gender," he said.
According to him, the current pension system needs fundamental changes. The majority of people in Kazakhstan, due to insufficient salaries do not have sufficient pension savings. Pension contributions to the Unified Pension Fund have decreased. As of April 1, 2020, they amounted to T11.405 trillion, and on June 1, they decreased to T11.378 trillion. Therefore, the party proposed to return to the solidarity pension system.
