Rise in prices for eggs and poultry is result of growing prices for feed - expert

Astana.  January 25. KazTAG -  The rise in prices for eggs and poultry is caused by the rise in feed price, which is up to 70% of their cost, said Ruslan Sharipov, president of the Union of Poultry Farmers of Kazakhstan.
"The main part of the cost of poultry and eggs is feed, where they make up 70%," Sharipov said.
According to him, the price of grain has grown by almost 2.2 times.
“If in 2019 wheat cost T46 thousand, now it costs more than T100 thousand. Corn (increased in price - KazTAG) by 1.5 times, oil crops, especially soybean meal, tripled from T90 thousand to T270 thousand", he said.
