RK Parliament ratified an agreement between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan on border representatives

Astana. June 26. KazTAG - Oksana Skiban. Deputies of senate at the plenary session on Thursday approved the draft law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on border representatives," the agency reports. 
As stated in the written opinion of the International Affairs Committee, in accordance with the agreement, the parties shall appoint border representatives and alternate representatives of the border and each shall notify the other through diplomatic channels with their surnames, names and patronymics, actors and places. 
"Border representatives within the areas of its activities shall take the necessary measures to prevent and resolve border incidents; monitor compliance with established rules of crossing the state border; together with the relevant government authorities shall take the necessary measures to combat the smuggling of arms, ammunition, drugs, currency and radioactive substances "- listed in the message of Committee. 
Moreover, the partieswill be  involved in identification of the bodies of people and take measures for their transfer; provide proper oversight of chores and other activities at the state border, as well as water use in the border waters; promptly inform each other about the threats of the fires, epidemics and pests, as well as resolve other issues related to the maintenance regime of the state border.
