Russia surprised about Mistura's statement about exhaustion of Astana process

Almaty. April 27. KazTAG - Russia is surprised about the statement of UN secretary general Staffan de Mistura that Astana process has exhausted itself, reports TASS news agency.
Mariya Zakharova, director of information and press department MFA, Russia, made the statement commenting on the interview of S.de Mistura to British BBC radio.
"Several days ago de Mistura paid a visit to Moscow and gave absolutely opposite estimation to the Astana process. We are surprised about that," she said.
As it was reported, S.  de Mistura had declared importance of Astana and Sochi formats for Syrian crisis settlements under involvement of the Geneva ground in the process.
In his words, the negotiations processes in Astana and Sochi will contribute into search of regulation on the discussion ground on Syrian crisis settlement in Geneva.
“For this reason we need movement of all the three processes: to make the Astana process more consecutive in de-escalation, to make the Sochi process with its expectations real, so that the Geneva process can apply it,” he resumed.
