Russia to compensate Angola for lost Angosat satellite

Almaty. April 24. KazTAG - Russia will build a new satellite for Angola to compensate for the loss of Angosat-1, reports RBK.
"Due to failed delivery of Angosat-1 to the orbit Russia will build a new satellite for Angola," said Jose Carvalho da Rocha, minister of telecommunications and information technologies.
Moscow will provide frequencies for satellite broadcasting for Angola, reports Jornal de Angola.
The minister confirmed, now the satellite on the orbit cannot be operated.
"They will provide us with 216 megahertz in Band C and 216 megahertz in Ku Bank so that we can provide our services. It is the biggest compensation," said the minister.
In his words, the new satellite will be more modern and will be equipped with latest communication technologies.
