Scientists in China compared the risks of contracting COVID-19 in family and transport

Almaty. December 3. KazTAG - Scientists in China have compared the risks of contracting COVID-19 in families and transport, RBC reports.
“During self-isolation, the likelihood of contracting coronavirus in the family is higher than in transport or a restaurant, scientists have found. According to them, every day spent in the same house with a sick person increases the risk of infection by 10%, " indicates the study conducted by Chinese scientists published in the  Science journal.
During the self-isolation regime, the risk of contracting COVID-19 for members of the same family is much higher than if they used public transport.
It is clarified that the lowest risk of infection was found in medical institutions in which protective measures were followed. Depending on the proximity of contacts, the level of risk grew. It was lower in public transport, catering and entertainment places, but it was higher when communicating with a wide range of relatives.
