Security enhanced on train stations and airports in Kazakhstan
Astana. April 11. KazTAG - Security measures have been enhanced in the train stations and airports of Kazakhstan, reports the police department on transport.
"The transport police have taken measures to enhance public security in the train stations and airports," reads the message.
"People departing from the city will be checked on the entrance to the terminal at the first inspection line. The first inspection line has been installed in all the airports of the state," said Jasulan Baikenov, head of administrative police department.
In his words, the average daily passenger flow in the international airport named after Nursultan Nazarbayev makes over 15 000 people, and 40 000 people in Nur-Sultan station.
"On the days of holidays this volume will double. Thus, we will pay special attention on prophylactic of violations and provision of people's security," he said.
He clarified that measures include tightening of control at the entry, use of special technical equipment, surveillance cameras in crowded places.
