Some people in Kazakhstan live in slum conditions - Majilisman

Astana. February 26. KazTAG - Some people in Kazakhstan live in slum conditions, said the deputies of Communists of Kazakhstan party.
"Today some people live in slum conditions in Kazakhstan, although this term is not officially recognized in the state. Under certain circumstances the situation can cause social tension just in case a house collapses and somebody finds himself under the wrecks. Taking into account that the situation which can be resolved can turn into an emergency, we request the Government to consider and develop a program for emergency and shabby housing," said Turgun Syzdykov, Majilis deputy, reading the request addressed to Askar Mamin, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
He marked the officials tend to put blame on the flats’ owners for their passiveness in property management.
"The citizens of Kazakhstan privatized housing by the order of the authorities, the process was accompanied by the promises of officials to help repair the roofs, cellars, networks, however, they did not get any help. In fact a third of privatized constructions were built earlier than in 1970 and have totally exhausted their resources," he resumed.
