Son of Minister of Energy sold refinery in Russia
Almaty. January 20. KazTAG - Igor Shkolnik, son of Vladimir Shkolnik, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan, has sold Orsk oil refinery to Russneft, reports the Kommersant newspaper.
"Mikhail Gutseriyev, who is developing a new oil company on the base of his Russneft returned Orsk refinery which he sold to the structures of Igor Shkolnik in 2011. The sum of the bargain has not been disclosed, but some sources say that it is not higher than $1 bln, indicating that Russneft factually controlled the refinery and the proprietor was changed formally," reads the publication.
This way ForteInvest belonging to M. Gutseriyev, head of Russneft, increased its stake in the refinery from 8.07% to 85.26%. According to the message of the plant the bargain was concluded on December 29 2014. Prior to this 71.94% belonged to Sermules Enterprises Ltd, belonging to Cipation Holdings Ltd (owned by I. Shkolnik, son of V. Shkolnik, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan).
