South Korean cardiologists to make surgery to 6 children with cardiac defects
Almaty. June 2. KazTAG - South Korean cardiologists will make surgery to 6 children with difficult cardiac defects in the national scientific center of surgery after Syzganov, said Nurzhan Dosmailov, cardio surgeon, candidate of medical sciences.
"The Syzganov center established partnership with South Korean specialists. It is their third arrival. During their last visits we jointly gave surgeries to 7 children with difficult heart defects, this year we will make surgery to 6 children," he said.
"In the recent years Kazakhstani medicine achieved success in diagnostics and surgery of defects which used to kill newborns right after their birth. For example we will make second stage of a difficult surgery to a 4 year old boy. He was born in 2010 and his heart had only one ventricle. He had surgery when he was 8 months, now the doctors from South Koreawill make the second surgery and he will recover. It is a very big achievement," he said.
