In a few hours the prime crew including Oleg Skripochka (Russia), Jessica Meir (USA) and Hazza Al Mansouri (UAE), as well as the backup crew consisting of Sergey Ryzhikov (Russia), Thomas Marshburn (USA) and Sultan Al Neyadi (UAE) came to Baikonur to finish the prelaunch preparations.
The crew commanders reported readiness for the trainings, afterwards headed to the GCTC test and training facility. During the following two weeks the mission participants will take a training and briefing course, as well as medical checkups.
On September 11, the prime and backup crews will take the first training in the Soyuz MS-15 crewed spacecraft. They will have to train the onboard actions mechanism, get to know the onboard documentation and perform a number of tests of the onboard systems.
The Soyuz-FG launch with the Soyuz MS-15 ship is scheduled for September 25, 2019 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
