"The accident occurred today at 3.00 am in the Turksib district of Almaty. An unidentified driver fatally rolled over a woman born in 1976. Police discovered fragments of a car which was identified as a Mercedes-Benz. Police identified the driver and the car. The car was discovered in the country side with the signs of a traffic accident. The driver born in 1987 has been detained," said Yerik Nasyrbekov, deputy head of police department.
