Synthetic drugs widely spread in Kazakhstan as they are not on the list of psychotropic and drug-containing substances

Almaty. April 16. KazTAG – New synthetic drugs are very popular in Kazakhstan as they are not on the list of psychotropic and drug-containing substances, said Zhenis Ayazbayev, assistant of psychiatry, psychotherapy and narcology department of Almaty institution of doctors advancing.

"New synthetic drugs, for example, spice, different mixtures and salts, are not on the list of psychotropic and drug-containing substances in Kazakhstan. As there is no law they have become accessible, especially for teenagers. The price is low, they can be easily bought in schools and clubs," he said.

He added new synthetic drugs are extremely dangerous, as they are several times stronger, than for example, marihuana.

"The effect is severe: first they feel inflow of vivacity and energy, then they experience terrible assaults of depression, up to suicide," he said.
