The court N2 of Pavlodar has adjudged 27 years old driver guilty under P 1. Art.120 (rape) and p.1, Art. 191 (violent robbery).
At night on June 2 at about 4.00 the victim being in drunken condition, who works as a doctor, called a taxi through inDriver app.
"The convict arrived, on the way to the destination the driver stopped, rape the woman, took her out of the car and seized her mobile phone worth 277 500 tenges," said Zhuldyz Tlegenova, judge.
The hearing was held behind closed doors.
The taxi driver has been sentenced to 3.6 years imprisonment and 1 mln tenge compensation for the moral damage.
