"17 years old teenager who suffered severe head injury in Shymkent, has died in hospital," reads the statement with a reference to a page of volunteers in Instagram.
The incident occurred on May 22.
"Abzal Utkurov decided to meet his friends, but suddenly a group of other teenagers crossed his way. They started fighting. As a result, two suffered. Abzal suffered most of all. His head was broken. Doctors did their best but failed to save his life," reads the message.
