Teheran and EEU negotiating reduction of export fees and trade tariffs
Almaty. February 4. KazTAG - Teheran hopes to reach agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) on reduction of export fees and trade tariffs between the states, reports the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG).
"The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Iran is corresponding and negotiating with the Eurasian Economic Union... concerning considerable reduction of tariffs between two states. Next year we may witness the agreement signing between the states," said Mehdi Sanai, ambassador of Iran to Russia in his LiveJournal blog.
In his words, due to high tariffs between Iran and Russia the Iranian goods flow to Russian market via the intermediary states, such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan, increasing the final cost for Russian consumers.
