Almaty. January 5. KazTAG - The terms of NATO forces withdrawal may be reconsidered, said Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani.
"The deadlines - it is ideas in the head. At least the terms must not be the dogmas. If both sides, or in this case, several partners took all the efforts to achieve the aims and the progress is real, there should be intention to reconsider the deadlines," he said in the interview to CBS channel.
John Campbell, US General in his turn, said that despite all the fears, Afghanistan armed forces will not allow arrival of the Islamic State to Afghanistan after NATO withdrawal.
"They (armed forces-KazTAG) is the most respected institute in Afghanistan. I wouldn't say this a couple of years ago, but today it is so. With such armed forces as they are like today... It is not Iraq. I don't see ISIL fighters attempts to come to Afghanistan as it happened in Iraq. Afghan security forces won't let it happen," he said.
